About Us…

Chef Nicki has a strong culinary background and found most of her inspiration for the trade working in California at a 5 star Mexican restaurant. This is where she was able to learn firsthand the true meaning of the culture, products as well as the process and love for each dish created.
Looking onto new ventures the Garzas decided to leave Lupe’s in the hands of Chef Nicole and her wife Samantha to carry on some of the traditional Mexican recipes while also showcasing the opportunity of her flare and knowledge of the growing the Mexican culture you see today.

Samantha & Nicki travel to Mexico every year to continue to bring the traditional and innovative fresh flavors you find in Mexico. We are proud to serve traditional Mexican dishes with a fresh take on how we recreate them while sticking to the flavors and ideas that Mexico presents as a whole.
What this means to us is how “Mexican food” is perceived here in the United States versus what you’ll find in Mexico itself. In Mexico, hard shell tacos and ground beef is not customary so we do not offer these items, we use soft corn or flour tortillas.
In addition to “sticking to the roots”, we use certified Angus beef which is a meat evenly distributed with marbled fat that is tender and juicy on its own, from there we then make our marinades in house and let it marinade overnight.
Most of our tacos also do not come with cheese, which is how you would receive tacos at your favorite taquerias on the streets of Mexico.
(Don’t worry though, we do offer cheese options to add on!)

We are a small establishment and we use our space to its maximum potential. We start each morning by preparing our ingredients from scratch, beginning with things such as our marinades, salsa, empanadas, guacamole, marinated vegetables, our tortilla shells for the taco dorados, bar mixes and everything else you see on the menu. We take pride in preparing ingredients this way so we are able to share our true passion for food although it is important to remember and for us to let everyone know that since this is our process of preparation, it is common for us to sell out of our most popular dishes during our busiest days!

Each year we change our menu slightly to reflect new cuisines and inspirations, but we will always carry a few of our staple items.
The history of Lupe’s is the proud creators of the VAMPIRE TACO!- There is nothing like it, with a crispy cheese shell, soft melty cheese smothered on your soft shell and filled with your favorite protein or veggie option.
We are also known by thousands for  the award winning Pescado Taco with our special house made marinade and batter, fried to order and accompanied by the signature red cabbage slaw and Chef Nicki’s very own Mango Habanero Salsa, which can be taken home by the Jar!
You’ll also find another creation called The Quesa-Tinga tacos, this combines the idea of the Birra taco (which burst into the scenes the last 2 years) and Chicken Tinga. It comes with a consume dipping sauce making these tacos out of this world.
Another dish you’ll find that’s been an award winner for the past 10 years is the Shrimp Ceviche. We cook our shrimp in fresh chilled lemon & lime juice daily giving you the freshest flavor and giving you a cool dish to escape the hot beach sun.
-#1 Award winning Lobster Chowder- we have this seasonally and is a seafood fest exclusive,  but be sure to look out for this through the season on our specials as well!

Now, you can’t go to Mexico without having TEQUILA!!!

We offer a full bar with delicious craft cocktails, as well as hosting 55 tequilas at all times and an array of other liquors, beer, wine and our famous Sangria

Be sure to check out our Menu for a list of Tequilas, as well as our tequila shot flight options. We are excited to add our one of a kind Fuego Volcano Margarita which is a must try!
We are also very passionate about our planet, at this time we will not offer straws.
We offer straw alternatives upon request (Biodegradable Agave straws), we appreciate your help with this, as straws are one of the top 10 marine debris items found on our beaches, it is important to strive to continue to help our marine life and keep our beaches clean and reduce plastic waste.
Samantha & Nicki are hands on in the restaurant and you can find them there most days.
In the off season they can be found at their sister restaurant The Purple Finch Cafe in Bedford NH, as well as traveling to Mexico.
Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates and videos in Mexico and what’s new throughout the season!
Our promise is to continue to bring you fresh new flavors that keep you on your taste buds happy & satisfied.
Be sure to say hi when visiting and let us know where you’re traveling from! Enjoy

Lupe’s was started in 2014; a test kitchen was run in a small apartment from Nicole & David Garza as well as their friend and Chef, Nicki Leavitt.
The name of the restaurant in mind was inspired through the mother of Nicole Garza, Guadalupe, who also inspired the family throughout their childhood with recipes from Mexico.

Over the years Nicole and David worked closely with Chef Nicki, combining her knowledge of the industry with their cultural background.
